M5-M20 Masonry Plastering Mortar

Masonry & Plastering Mortar (2-in-1) A high-performance dual-purpose mortar made of premium cement, graded aggregates, and high-quality polymers.

Information

  • Net Weight: 40KG, 50KG

  • Model: M5, M7.5, M10, M15, M20

Category:

Masonry: AAC blocks, ALC panels, and various bricks.

Leveling: Concrete, AAC, brickwork, and cement mortar walls.

Masonry:

  • Substrate: Clean and firm; remove dust, oil, and debris. No pre-wetting needed for blocks with low-to-medium water absorption.
  • Mixing: Powder to water ratio = 1 : 0.18 – 0.20. Mix for 3 minutes until smooth and lump-free.
  • Application: Apply mortar to both bonding surfaces. Press blocks firmly; maintain joints at 10 – 15 mm.
  • Curing: Hardens at room temperature. Water curing is required in high temperatures or dry conditions (humidity < 30%).)

Plastering)

  • Alignment: Use plumb bobs and level lines to ensure wall squareness. Set plastering beads (screeds) every 1.2 – 1.5 m.
  • Substrate: Clean and firm. Pre-wet high-absorption substrates (e.g., AAC blocks) but ensure no standing water. For low-absorption concrete, roughen the surface or apply a primer.
  • Finishing: After 1 – 3 hours of drying, level and compact with a float. Perform polishing for smooth finish requirements.

This product complies with the technical requirements of GB/T 25181-2019 “Ready-mixed Mortar”.

NOTE

  • Environment: 5°C – 35°C; weather affects drying time.
  • Pot Life: Use within 2 hours (at 25°C); do not remix with water once hardened.
  • Joints: Avoid overly thin masonry joints to maintain strength.
  • Sealing: Reseal opened bags; keep dry to prevent spoilage.
  • Mixing: Mix with water ONLY—no other additives.
  • Storage: Cool, dry place; 12-month shelf life.

It is a dual-purpose mortar for both masonry (AAC blocks, ALC panels, various bricks) and plastering/leveling (concrete, AAC, brickwork, and cement mortar walls).

Five grades — M5, M7.5, M10, M15, and M20 — available in 40KG or 50KG bags.

It complies with the technical requirements of GB/T 25181-2019 “Ready-mixed Mortar.”

The substrate must be clean and firm, with dust, oil, and debris removed. No pre-wetting is needed for blocks with low-to-medium water absorption.

For masonry, mix at a ratio of approximately 1:0.18–0.20 (powder:water), stirring for 3 minutes until smooth, and maintain joints at 10–15mm. For plastering, pre-wet high-absorption substrates but avoid standing water, then level and compact after 1–3 hours of drying.

Use plumb bobs and level lines to ensure wall squareness, and set plastering beads (screeds) every 1.2–1.5m. For low-absorption concrete surfaces, roughen the surface or apply a primer before plastering.

No pre-wetting is needed for blocks with low-to-medium water absorption; only high-absorption substrates (e.g., AAC) require pre-wetting for plastering use.

It hardens at room temperature, but water curing is required in high temperatures or dry conditions (humidity below 30%). The recommended application environment is 5°C to 35°C, and drying time will vary with weather conditions.

Pot life is about 2 hours at 25°C; mix with water only, with no other additives, and never re-mix hardened mortar with water. Shelf life is 12 months when stored in a cool, dry place — reseal opened bags to prevent spoilage.
